Hallam Award

One way you can do this is by getting involved in activities outside of your course. Did you know that there are hundreds of extra-curricular activities going on every week, both on-campus and around Sheffield?

Extra-curricular activities are more important than you think. They can help you to develop new skills (we call them Graduate Attributes), build your experience, and feel connected to a wider community. The Hallam Award gives you a way to collect all these experiences and make sense of them. It makes you more aware of how you’re developing, more aware of how you want to grow, and how to go about it. Most importantly, it helps you to get into the habit of managing your own development.

The Hallam Award Team are available every week to chat to and answer any questions to help you get through your Hallam Award journey! Our drop-in sessions take place at both campuses – at City Campus in the Hallam Award Zone at Careers Connect, and at Collegiate in the Students’ Union Office (HOC).

Drop-In sessions at City Campus are held at these times every week:

  • MONDAY: 9am – 1:30pm with Sinead
  • TUESDAY: 12:30pm – 5pm with Carys
  • WEDNESDAY: 10:30am – 2:30pm with Sarthak
  • THURSDAY: 1pm – 5pm with Lisa

Drop-In sessions at Collegiate Campus are held at these times every week:

  • TUESDAY: 10am – 12pm with Abi
  • THURSDAY: 2pm – 4pm with Abi
