Workingwin – the health led employment trial
Sheffield Hallam University have been made aware of an employment support trial available to help people find, and stay, in meaningful employment. Anyone with a health condition, such as stress, anxiety or depression, those with disabilities or anyone suffering from a long term medical condition is eligible to take part as long as their GP is in South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw. The trial is funded by the NHS and delivered by South Yorkshire Housing Association. As this is a trial, those taking part will be allocated into one of two groups. One group receives the new service and the other is signposted to existing services they can then access if they wish.
All participants will be able to get support from Sheffield Hallam University Careers and Employability Service to access other local organisations that can help you, regardless of which group you end up in. Some of the employers Workingwin has links with include: Aviva, Hitachi, AMP, NHS, Barclays, HSBC, Irwin Mitchell. This unique project combines employment support and health support to ensure a smooth transition into work .
